Nothing is too wonderful to be true, if it be consistent with the laws of nature.

Ireland Day 5 - The Burren (cont’d): The Burren is a stretch of limestone that changed over time with interference from man (roads, etc) and acid rain. It has underground rivers and caves. Such a beautiful place to check out and rock climb. From here, I had lunch back in Doolin, then headed back to Dublin on the bus with a transfer at Galway.

Ireland Day 5 -The Burren: Went rock climbing today, and I’m still alive! I packed up and left Doolin for The Burren where my instructor Ben showed me the ropes (literally). It was exhilarating to see what I’m made of. In the picture with just rocks, I named that gap “my best friend.” I had to shimmy up that like a chimney, with my back flat up against one side and my feet against the other side, all the way to the top!!

Ireland Day 4 - Cliffs of Moher (cont’d): I chickened out… I jumped the barrier and started walking to the top edge of that first peak. But the path got narrower and narrower, the dirt got muddier and more slippery from the rain, and it was incredibly windy. I was already holding on to the stones to stay steady. So, I came down, changed course and walked the paved path to the top of the other windy (safer) peak with the castle.
